The first reason that you would choose a granite sink over a sink made with some other material is that it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. You’re not limited to a single size or depth with a granite sink with a full range available to cater for any kitchen needs. As well as a drop in look you have the more preferred undermount fixture. In most cases the counter and the sink will both be made of granite and so it makes sense to ensure it flows easily from one part of the house to the next.

It is possible, depending on the quality of the water that flows into it, that the sink can become stained with a white limestone-like deposit. This can happen with constant use and the water isn’t as clean as it could be. What is left behind is a chalky deposit that can become difficult to remove if it is left there for too long.
