A space saving idea for the dining room that some households may find crucial is a folding dining table. Drop leaf tables are a particularly novel type of folding dining table. These tables are usually round in shape when they have been extended out to their full size. When the edges of the table have been folded down you have a long, oval shaped dining table that will fit into most dining areas.

So you have a range of shapes when it comes to folding dining tables. The round dining tables comprise a regular extending dining table as well as the range of drop leaf tables. Square tables may be folded down on all four sides or they may simply contain an extendable section in the middle that will expand the table out to become a much larger rectangular table.
