Slate Tile Flooring for the Kitchen

The nice thing about slate tile flooring for the kitchen is that you can install it yourself if you like do-it-yourself projects. It will save a lot of money on installing the tile if you are capable of placing it on the floor yourself. You will probably have to purchase the correct tile glue to install it, but it’s not an overall difficult process to place it on the floor.
Slate tile flooring is quite easy to clean. You don’t have to worry about people spilling stuff on the surface as it is a breeze to clean up. A floor steamer can usually be used for regular cleanings of the floor tile or a paper towel can be used for basic spills. Usually, floor tile doesn’t need to be cleaned all that often however it should be cleaned regularly just to ensure that the surface is looking fresh and clean.

This kind of flooring is a lot more durable than vinyl or peel-and-stick tile flooring. Have you ever seen the scratches that those other types of flooring can get in them? Slate tiles don’t usually have those issues because they’re much more durable.
Slate tile flooring doesn’t have to be ultra expensive. If you have a rather large kitchen, you may decide to only do half of the kitchen with the slate tile flooring, and the other half with vinyl. The area that is used the most should get the slate tile flooring placed on it. The look of the kitchen floor is more cohesive if you install all slate tile flooring on it, but if expense is a big issue, then just install it on half of your kitchen floor.
