The Boston pattern consisted of dark blue rimmed plates with cream centers. The cups, mugs and creamers took the dark blue exteriors to create a collection that is striking for the darker appearance. Just as the Denby Blue Linen collection provided the lightest and most subtle shade of blue imaginable, the Denby Boston collection hits us with a rich dark blue. This is a pattern that is more on the bold side but remains a single color to give it a sense of refinement.
Still available periodically in the Boston collection are footed mugs, soup bowls, cup and saucer settings and very attractive craftsman mugs. It’s not only the rich color of the Boston tableware that makes this an attractive collection. The rounded shapes of the salt and pepper shakers and sugar bowl and the traditional profile of the jugs make this a very attractive setting.
