Deciding On Kitchen Curtains
We use curtains in all rooms of the house to filter the light and to maintain our privacy from prying eyes on the outside. But the curtains we use in our rooms should match the overall decor and blend in or at least complement the other furnishings in the room.
Kitchen curtains are no less important than the curtains hung in other rooms. For most people there will be a desperate need to invite natural light into the kitchen and so the most suitable curtains are going to be lace or curtains that are made from a thin material.

There is a safety aspect to consider when deciding on kitchen curtains. While large, billowy curtains can make an impression and look pretty, if they are located too closely to the stove or other heat source they will become a fire hazard.
Another warning, but this one merely a functional one, is to make sure you get window treatments for the kitchen that are easy to use. You may be leaning across kitchen counters or cabinets to operate blinds or curtains and you will want them to be as easy to operate as possible. Similarly if you are in the middle of preparing food the chances are your hands are going to either be dirty or wet so you won't want curtains that are too delicate that they can't withstand the odd bit of soiling.
