Kralik Glass Vases For Sale

The Kralik glassworks was first founded in 1815 in Bohemia and became possibly the producer of the most Bohemian art glass in the early 20th century. There is a tremendous range of different designs and techniques used to create the many different types of vases that were part of its production line.

While the company existed for many years before, it didn’t come to real prominence until later than other Bohemian glass makers in the Art Deco period.

Kralik developed some of the most innovative techniques in the processes that they worked the glass and these were later adapted by later glass makers. During the Art Nouveau period the company produced vases that could easily be mistaken for Loetz. It was during this period that the company was still developing some of the more distinctive styles and techniques.

Rindskopf Vases For Sale

Rindskopf Glass was manufactured by a company called Josef Rindskopf’s Sohne AG and it operated from the 1890s through to the early 1900s. The majority of Rindskopf glass products that can be found today were produced between 1900 and 1905.

Rindskopf glass was one of the better known Bohemian glass makers from around the time of the Paris World Fair in 1900 responsible for the art nouveau style.

The best known examples of Rindskopf glass antiques are the ‘Pepita’ line which features a gradual color change from the bottom of the piece to the top. It is a distinctive looking piece of glasswork with the base of the vase exhibiting a light-green color and this changes into a deep wine red by the time you reach the top.

A similarly colored variation of the Pepita was also used throughout the range and it was called the Grenada line. This desing also started with light-green at the bottom of the vase changing slowly through to a red pomegranate by the top lip.

Another type of design that was popularly used by the company was the pulled feather effect that put swirling colors therough the body of the piece to give it a patterned appearance from inside the glass.
